A DELAWARE TRADITION SINCE 1961

The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is Delaware's largest arts festival and one of the longest-running in the region. Every year on the weekend after Labor Day, more than 200 juried artists fill Brandywine Park with original paintings, photography, ceramics, jewelry, and handmade work of every kind. Each artist is juried in, so the work you see is original and made by the person selling it. The show perennially ranks among the top 100 art festivals in the country and draws thousands of visitors from across Delaware and the wider region.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE FESTIVAL

Original work

Explore booths of more than 200 juried artists. You'll find fine art, jewelry, ceramics, photography, crafts and sculpture, each sold by the person who made it, so you can ask about the work and take home something you won't see in a store.

Fun for the kids

The Kids Korner runs all weekend with face painting, hands-on crafts, and guided art projects for younger visitors. Live music and animal rescues from Angel's Retreat give the whole family reasons to stick around between booths.

Stay all day

The festival stretches along the Brandywine River with live music, a full food court, and beer and wine for the grownups. Bring a leashed, friendly dog, find a spot in the shade, and make an afternoon of it on the weekend after Labor Day.
